3/19/2020 FOCUS ON MINI GOALS. For example, if you’ve just begun your LSAT prep, and you have learned what the Logical Reasoning section is asking of you, focus today on getting 1-10 (the easier Qs) completely correct. If that’s too easy at this point, try and get 1-15 (easy and medium) completely correct. Don’t move past those Qs until you’ve accomplished that, and work on figuring out why the correct answer is correct and why the incorrect answer is incorrect, for the ones you got wrong. Go back to clarifying the conclusion and reason why, and try to talk through the thought process for the question out loud (this is harder to do thank you think, and extremely valuable to be able to do).
3/18/2020 The LSAT and the Coronavirus: Let’s keep calm and stay focused on the end goal of going to the best law school you can get into, that will gift you the most money in scholarship. Your scholarships depend largely on your LSAT score, so consider the LSAT March date cancelation a blessing in disguise, as it gives you more time to social-distance your way to a higher score. Don’t go crazy though; THE MOST EFFICIENT STUDY SCHEDULE would be 1-1.5 hours in the morning followed by 30 minutes-1 hour in the evening, if you have the opportunity to. Since this test is testing your ability to consistently read and think clearly, there’s no use wasting questions on a fried brain. This is a skill you are honing; once you’ve demonstrated to yourself that you can do it, go outside for a walk, listen to some music, and relax for the rest of the day.
